This is the most forged market in commodities

Fuel sees more fabricated offers than every other commodity combined. We assume every unsolicited offer is fake until its paperwork proves otherwise, and expect the same suspicion from buyers. Parcels are sized to what counterparties can actually lift, priced against Platts, inspected by contract.

Desk sheet

Products EN590 diesel (10 ppm), Jet A1 aviation fuel, petroleum coke
Buyers Licensed distributors, utilities, industrial plants, vetted trading houses
Pricing basis Platts references, agreed differential in writing
Inspection SGS, Intertek, or equivalent, at loading or discharge per contract
Settlement Irrevocable letter of credit through the buyer's bank
Declined Broker-chain offers, LOI/ICPO procedures, below-market pricing

No chains, no soft offers

Supplier documents are verified with their issuers before any introduction. Pricing far below Platts ends the conversation. If we cannot name the principal after KYC, there is no deal to discuss.
